On Sunday, March 21, at approximately 1:35 am, an officer stopped a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder operated by Timothy Huffman, age 36, of Hampton, on Route 31 North near Halstead Street for moving violations. During the stop, the officer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage upon Mr. Huffman’s breath and soon determined that he was intoxicated. Mr. Huffman was arrested and transported to police headquarters where he provided samples of his breath for chemical testing to determine the content of alcohol in his blood. As a result, Mr. Huffman was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Failure to Maintain Lane. He was released to the custody of a responsible adult and his vehicle was towed and impounded.
