$2000 REWARD OFFERED BY HUNTERDON CRIME STOPPERS FOR INFORMATION ON READINGTON ARMED ROBBERY

Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III, Chief of Detectives John J. Kuczynski and Readington Township Police Chief Sebastian Donaruma announced the investigation of an armed robbery in Whitehouse Station.

 

According to Prosecutor Kearns, “On Saturday January 16th, at approximately 3:30 AM, Readington Township Police were dispatched to an armed robbery at the Mobil gas station located at 160 Main St. in Whitehouse Station. The Mobil gas station is located across the street from the Whitehouse Train Station and the Rail restaurant. Witnesses reported that a light skinned male entered the gas station brandishing a silver colored handgun and demanded money. The suspect was wearing a mask and was between 5’-5” and 5’-7” tall with a thin build.  The attendant handed over the money for the business and the suspect fled the scene on foot prior to police arrival. No injuries were reported.”

 

The Detectives from Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office and the Readington Township Police Department are actively investigating this crime and further details will be released when they are available.

 

Prosecutor Kearns added, “Crime Stoppers of Hunterdon County is offering a reward of $2000 for information that leads to the arrest or indictment of the person(s) responsible for this crime.”
