On Wednesday, November 18, at approximately 4:50 pm, a 2009 Toyota sedan operated by Jonathan Peck, age 43, of Clinton Township, was stopped at a red light on Route 31 South at Molasses Hill Road when it was struck from behind by a 2007 Toyota sedan operated by Muhammad Khan-Awan, age 32 of Washington, which was also traveling south. After the impact, the Khan-Awan vehicle collided with a 2010 Toyota sedan operated by Todd Williamson, age 47, of Flemington, which was also stopped at the red light. The Peck and Khan-Awan vehicles had to be towed from the scene and Mr. Peck had to be transported to the Hunterdon Medical Center for treatment of apparent minor injuries. Mr. Khan-Awan was issued motor vehicle summonses for Careless Driving and Failure to Inspect. Patrolman Michael Akers investigated.
