4 car crash – unlicensed driver in wrong spot at wrong time

@ approximately 3:19 PM – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle crash on State Highway 31 near Pennsylvania Avenue. Investigation at the scene revealed the following: Raymond F. Eroh, Jr., age 35 of Hackettstown, NJ was stopped in traffic on Rt. 31 North, south of Highland Avenue, in his 2013 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up. Jose L. Espiridion, age 36 of Annandale, NJ was stopped in traffic behind Eroh’s vehicle in a 1992 Ford pick-up. Behind Espiridion’s vehicle, Maurice R. Garvin, age 25 of East Stroudsburg, PA was also stopped in traffic in his 2006 Ford Taurus. Bernard White, age 61 of Stroudsburg, PA was driving northbound on Rt. 31 in the area in a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up. White was pulling a landscape trailer with the pick-up. White’s vehicle struck Garvin’s vehicle, pushing it into Espiridion’s vehicle. Espiridion’s vehicle was then pushed into Eroh’s vehicle. White and Eroh, and the three passengers in Eroh’s vehicle, reported no injuries as a result of the crash. Espiridion left the scene of the crash, but was located by Clinton Township Police patrol further north on Rt. 31. Espiridion reported a shoulder injury to Clinton Township Police. He was transported to Hunterdon Medical Center by ambulance for that reported injury. Garvin reported a complaint of pain to his back but refused medical assistance after being evaluated by the Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad. Three adult passengers in Garvin’s vehicle were transported to Hunterdon Medical Center by the Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad for apparent minor injuries. Espiridion was issued a summons for being an unlicensed driver. White was issued a summons for careless driving. Investigation by P.O. Margaret Hammond.
