Congratulations to the 80 students at Voorhees High School who have earned AP Scholar Awards in recognition of their exceptional achievement on Advanced Placement Exams. The College Board’s Advanced Placement Program (AP) provides willing and academically prepared students with the opportunity to take rigorous college-level courses while still in high school, and to earn college credit, advanced placement, or both for successful performance on the AP Exams.

Facts about AP Exams from the CollegeBoard:

  • In 2016, over 4.7 million exams were taken by more than 2.6 million students at over 20,000 high schools.
  • The AP Program offers 37 courses in a wide variety of subject areas.
  • The majority of U.S. high schools currently participate in the AP Program.
  • More than 3,300 colleges and universities annually receive AP Exam scores. Most four-year colleges in the United States providecredit and/or advanced placement for qualifying scores.
