AFTER INVESTIGATION NON-HUMAN BONES FOUND IN FLEMINGTON BASEMENT
February 13, 2017
Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III, and Flemington Borough Police Chief Jerry Rotella announced that the Flemington Borough Police Department received a report of suspicious bones found in the basement of an antique store located on Main Street in Flemington.
The Flemington Borough Police Department, detectives from the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office and the Hunterdon County Medical Examiner, Dr. Steven Diamond responded to the scene. The bones were found in the dirt floor basement of the building, which dates back to the 1890’s, as the owner was clearing out a portion of the basement for storage. Dr. Diamond determined that the bones were non-human and no further investigation was warranted.
