Anne E. Danziger, age 82 years, of Flemington, NJ, died Friday, April 28, 2017, at Independence Manor, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in River Edge, NJ, November 6, 1934, daughter of the late Richard and Jane Heppeler Ernst, she had resided in the Flemington area for fifty-seven years.
Anne was a graduate of Barnard College with a degree in Zoology and received her Masters Degree from Rutgers University in Environmental Microbiology. She was formerly employed by the State of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and later by the former South Branch Watershed Association (now the Raritan Headwaters Association).
Anne was passionate about environmental issues and enjoyed the outdoors especially hiking and the environment. She was a member of the Hunterdon Hiking Club and enjoyed swimming laps and water aerobics at the Hunterdon County YMCA. She also loved to paint in watercolors.
Her husband, Robert F. Danziger, died in 1998.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, John F. and Cindy Danziger; a daughter Katie Krieg; and two grandchildren, Alison and Ryan Danziger, all of Flemington, NJ.
A Public Memorial Service will be held at a date and time to be announced in the Cherryville Baptist Church. Cremation services were private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
