Anthony Michael De Sapio
PERKASIE, PA – Anthony Michael De Sapio, 45, of Perkasie, PA, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 in Palmer Township, PA.
Anthony was born April 8, 1972 in Raritan Township, NJ. He is a graduate of Delaware Valley Regional High School, Class of 1990 and attended Rutgers University and the University of Notre Dame. Anthony lived most of his life in Baptistown and Holland Township, NJ before moving to Perkasie nine years ago. He worked as a paralegal for De Sapio Law office in Frenchtown, NJ. He was a member of the St. Agnes R.C. Church in Sellersville, PA and the Knights of Columbus and a former member of Our Lady of Victories R.C. Church in Baptistown, NJ. He was the Financial Secretary for the Knights of Columbus Council 14731 – Sellersville, a Catholic organization providing social and intellectual fellowship throughout the area.
Anthony grew up always loving new technology. When personal computers were in their infancy and he was in elementary school, he created computer games for his five younger brothers and sisters using an IBM programming book. He watched any movie he could find, and kept family libraries of photos and videos to share with others.
He was very detail-oriented and a great storyteller and was always the one to make everyone laugh. In his leisure, Anthony loved to fish, read, and relished the comfort of a good pair of sneakers. Anthony was always up for adventure. He loved life and so enjoyed his time with his nieces and nephews.
He was very caring and wanted to help others volunteering at various times as a member of the Rescue Squad, assisting at a nursing home, working with kids with disabilities and organizations at college and church.
Anthony is survived by his wife of 14 years, Christina L. De Sapio; his father Gaetano M. De Sapio and his wife Susan of Pittstown, NJ; his mother MaryAnn De Sapio of Baptistown, NJ; his three sisters: Teresa Diaz and her husband Fernando Urban of Alexandria Township, NJ; Marisa De Sapio of Morristown, NJ; and Angela De Sapio of Baptistown, NJ; and his two brothers Michael De Sapio of Baptistown, NJ; and Dominic De Sapio of Astoria, NY. He is also survived by his nieces and nephew Isabella, Gabriella, Marialessia, and Domenico.
Visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 3-7 PM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ. Funeral services will begin on Monday, November 6, 2017 at 9:00 AM at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at the Our Lady of Victories R.C. Church, 1005 County Road 519, Baptistown, NJ. Interment will follow at the St. Magdalen Cemetery in Flemington, NJ.
