On Saturday, October 29, at approximately 1:45 am, an officer stopped a 2004 Dodge pickup truck operated by Cailey Ihling, age 23, of Glen Gardner on Route 31 near Center Street for motor vehicle violations. During the stop, the officer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage on Ms. Ihling’s breath and soon determined that she was intoxicated. Ms. Ihling was arrested and transported to police headquarters where she provided samples of her breath for chemical testing to determine the content of alcohol in her blood. Ms. Ihling was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Failure to Stop for Stop Sign, and Failure to Wear Seatbelt. Her vehicle was towed and impounded and she was released to the custody of a responsible adult.
