BAD PLATE LIGHT LEADS TO POT

@ approximately 1:03 AM – Police arrested Ian J. Walsh, age 19 of Raritan Township and charged him with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana following a motor vehicle stop on Rt. 31. Walsh was initially stopped for having an inoperable license plate light on the vehicle that he was driving. He was additionally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia (pipes with burnt marijuana residue and a metal tin with raw marijuana residue). Walsh was also issued motor vehicle summonses for maintenance of lamps and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. He was released after processing.
