BKWG, ( Bobby Kadel Wears Glasses), will perform a concert to benefit Toys for Tots on December 11 at Ono Rosa Restaurant, 282 CR 513 in Glen Gardner, NJ 08826. Admission is a new, unwrapped toy. From 12:30-2:30 p.m. families and children are welcome to attend and meet Santa Claus; from 3:00-7:00 p.m. adults are invited to enjoy live music from BKWG and enjoy the restaurant’s food and beverages.
In addition to the band and Santa Claus, the event will feature appearances by United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps, Travis Manion Batallion Commander, Lieutenant William Whatley and Carrie Toth, founder of the Nicholas Daniel Toth V Drug Abuse Awareness Foundation.
“We love doing this event for children and we do it free of charge. It’s what Christmas is all about,” said Jack Skudris the band’s lead guitarist. “Last year we had a restaurant patron/friend walk in with many gifts. She had been a recipient of Toys for Tots as a child. It was great to see her be able to give back.”
BKWG plays music from the 1960s through today. It is comprised of local business people who are members of the Central Bucks Rotary Club. Band members consider themselves an extension of the Rotary Club. They perform at just as many charity events and fundraisers, as they do local events and private parties. The band works to uphold the Rotary Club’s motto of “Service Above Self.”
