CAN WITH BUCKET LIFT SMACKS BRIDGE AND THEN DRAGS IT INTO CAR ON OPPOSITE SIDE

Thursday, May 14, 2015 @ approximately 5:00 PM – Police were dispatched to Dayton Road, near South Main Street, for a report of a motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival, police learned that Ronald J. Ent, age 74 of Stockton, NJ was driving a 1985 Ford van west on Dayton Road from South Main Street. Ent’s van was equipped with a bucket lift. While driving under the railroad bridge overpass, the bucket lift struck the bridge. The crash caused the bucket and boom to drag along the roadway in the opposite travel lane. Ent was bleeding from his lip but refused medical assistance. Morano did not report any injuries. Ent’s vehicle needed to be towed and he was issued a summons for careless driving.
