Caroline B. Fisher, age 92, died Monday, January 11, 2016, at Bridgeway Care Center in Hillsborough, NJ. She lived for twenty-five years in Bradenton FL before moving to the Flemington area in 2012.
Born April 7, 1923, in Middletown, OH, daughter of the late Fred and Buelah Johnston Bender, Caroline received her Bachelor’s Degree from Miami of Ohio University and her Master’s Degree in Home Economics from Northern Illinois University. She taught many years in the Elmhurst Illinoisschool system, teaching 6th grade and Home Economics courses in the Junior High School there.
Caroline was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority, the National Panhellenic Society, and was a long-time member of the Bayshore Baptist Church in Bradenton FL.
Caroline was predeceased by her late husbands, Millard Stewart in 1982 and Dr. Curtis Fisher in 1998. She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia Anne and John Browning of Flemington, and Mary E. and Curt Pocius of Des Moines IA, her sister, Betty McMillan of Medina OH, her five grandchildren, Michael, Amanda, Stephen, Katherine and Meredith, as well as her two great-grandchildren, Addi and Matthew.
Memorial service will be at 11:30 a.m., Friday, January 15, 2016 at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Cremation and interment will be private. Friends may gather Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
