Charles Parigian, age 94, of Annandale, NJ passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at the Rolling Hills Care Center in Clinton Twp., NJ.
He was born on October 17, 1922 in Lowell, MA. He was a resident of Annandale, NJ for the past 3 years, moving from Colts Neck, NJ.
He was the son of the late George and Marian Zaratgian Parigian.
Charles was the husband of Alice Seropian Parigian, celebrating 67 years of marriage.
Charles was a US Army Air Corps veteran, serving as a Navigator during World War II from 1944 to 1945.
He was a graduate of Penn State University, earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
Charles was a retired executive level Manager for Ozone Industries in Ozone Park, Queens, NY.
Charles was a ‘foodie’ who especially enjoyed ice cream.
His favorite quote was from Calvin Coolidge, “Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not: nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not: the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.”
Survivors in addition to his loving wife include 1 son; Gregory Parigian and his wife Angelica Harakas. 1 daughter with whom he resided with; Susan Parigian and her husband Richard Blankenberg. 6 grandchildren; Zoe Parigian, Althaea Parigian, Theodora Parigian, Nicholas Blankenberg and his wife Sharon Maus, Jonathan Blankenberg and Alexander Blankenberg. 2 great-grandsons; Milo Blankenmaus and Aram Blankenmaus. Charles is also survived by his niece, nephews and their families.
Predeceased by 1 son; John Parigian who passed away 10 years ago and 1 brother; Berge Parigian.
