Standout Central Jersey Volleyball Academy (CJVA) athletes Faith Adams of Hillsborough, NJ and Emily Sullivan of Bridgewater, NJ have been recruited to play volleyball in college.
A 6’ tall middle hitter and outside hitter, Faith has signed a letter of intent to play for Gettysburg College under coach Leah Bernier. Faith will graduate from Hillsborough High School in June, where she recently helped lead the team to victory in the final of the Somerset County Tournament.
“Beginning my volleyball career at CJVA six years ago was the best decision for me because it introduced me to the sport I love,” said Faith. “Along the way the program also taught me crucial life lessons and provided me with a team that I consider family. As the program expands, I know that it will have great success with many other student-athletes and continue to make a difference in the world of volleyball.”
Emily has signed a letter of intent to play for Stockton University under Coach Allison Walker in 2017. Last year, the Stockton Ospreys had a 21-14 record. Emily is a 5’9 elite setter with 5 years of club volleyball experience with CJVA. At Bridgewater-Raritan High School, Emily became the first freshman starter to make the team in about 8 years. She was selected for the All Skylands Conference 1st Team and for the New Jersey All State Conference 1st Team.
“CJVA has provided me with the training, structure and discipline which developed me into an elite student athlete,” Emily said. “It’s like my second family!”
“We congratulate Faith and Emily on pursuing their dreams to compete in volleyball at the college level,” said Rich Pickrell, Director of Recruiting, CJVA. “They have the attributes to be valuable college players and we are delighted that they will be able to continue their stellar careers.”
