CLINTON TWP BURGLAR TACKED DOWN AT TRAIN STATION

Burglary/Theft:

September15, 2017 at 1:10Pm:

On the above date and time, a residential burglary occurred at an Allerton Road home.  Police responded and conducted an investigation.  It was initially determined that various jewelry and electronic equipment were stolen from the home.

On Saturday, September 16, 2017 at approximately 5:45Pm, Detectives and Police Officers from Clinton Township Police Department tracked a suspect to Plainfield NJ, where the detectives conducted surveillance of the individual.

At approximately 7:45Pm on Saturday, September 16, 2017, Clinton Township Detectives arrested:

Hasheen Sanders, 38, Phillipsburg NJ 08865

Mr. Sanders was taken into custody at the Dunellen, NJ Train Station, where detectives found Mr. Sanders to be in possession of property that was stolen from the Allerton Road burglary the day before.  Mr. Sanders was charged with 2 counts of receiving stolen property, 2 counts of burglary and 2 counts of theft.  Sanders was lodged in the Middlesex County Jail pending future court dates.
