COKED UP DRIVER ON HEROIN PASSES OUT BEHIND THE WHEEL

On Wednesday, November 9, at approximately 3:40 am, an officer observed a 2016 Dodge stopped in the middle of Stacey Drive. The vehicle’s engine was running and it was in gear. The officer then observed Christopher Petras, age 25, of Clinton Township, passed out while in the driver’s seat. Once Mr. Petras awoke, he was found to be under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance. He was arrested and subsequently found to be in possession of heroin, cocaine, and a hypodermic syringe. He was charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Being Under The Influence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Operating a Motor Vehicle While In Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Driving While Intoxicated, and Obstructing Traffic. He was released to the custody of a responsible adult.
