Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-07) today released the following statement on the President’s Fiscal Year 2016 Budget:
“The President’s budget proposal does nothing to tackle our record 18 trillion dollar national debt that is impeding our economy’s ability to grow. The budget doesn’t balance – ever, ignoring budget caps this President signed into law and making commitments for programs and expenditures with no plan on how to pay for them.
“I want to work with the President to expand opportunity for all Americans, and that begins with more jobs, less taxation, boosting industries to compete abroad and harnessing American-made energy – all actions that will result in smaller national deficits. The House of Representatives will, again, send the President a budget that balances. The President should work with Congress to put our Nation on a glide path back to fiscal health.”
