CONTRACTOR GOES CRAZY IN CL TWP

On Thursday, June 25, at approximately 2:25 pm, Patrolman Paul Bate responded to a township residence for a report of a dispute. Upon arrival, Ptl. Bate met with the homeowner who advised that a dispute arose with the contractor who had recently worked on the victim’s stone porch. The contractor then returned to the property and began using a sledgehammer to remove stones from the stone porch. Further investigation revealed that the contractor, Frank Carfaro, age 68, of Long Valley, advised the homeowner that he was going to “sledgehammer her porch” and then “take care of” her. As a result, Ptl. Bate arrested Mr. Carfaro and charged him with Terroristic Threats and Criminal Mischief. He was released ROR.
