Hunterdon County’s Health Preparedness Team and the Prosecutor’s Office are planning a full-scale exercise of the county’s emergency medication distribution plan on June 23, 2015, with North Hunterdon High School being the site of distribution. Volunteers are needed to participate in the exercise. Volunteers will be asked to act as heads of household picking up emergency medication (empty bottles for the exercise) at a public point of distribution, which will be North Hunterdon High School. The part of the exercise that will take place at the high school, and for which they need volunteers, will begin at 2:30pm with setup and briefing. Volunteers would need to be available until 6:00pm. Volunteers will be asked to go through the pickup line as many times as needed to help the Health Department test their emergency medication distribution plan.
Volunteers can be adults or students 16 and older. Students can count this volunteer opportunity towards their community service hours. If you are interested in helping with this exercise, please click here for waiver. Signed waivers can be returned to the Principal’s Office at North Hunterdon High School or mailed to the address at the bottom of the waiver. Waivers must be received by the Health Department by May 21.
