Delaware Twp.: Alice H. Emmons, 84 died Friday, February 26, at the Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge, NJ.

Born in Long Valley, NJ, Alice moved to Delaware Twp. in 1965. She and her late husband, William Emmons, Jr., owned and operated the Emmons Dairy Farm for many years. She was a member of the Sergeantsville Methodist Church, and she volunteered at the Sunny Side Adult Day Care Center in Raritan Twp. She was an avid bowler, a 4H Leader with the Hunterdon County 4H, a member of the Sergeantsville Senior Citizens and a Sunshine Lady with the organization.

Daughter of the late Gilbert and Martha Hemmings, widow of William Emmons, Jr., mother of the late Gilbert Emmons, mother- in- law of the late Stephanie Emmons, and grandmother of the late Alexander Emmons, she is survived by two daughters, Louise Keefer and her husband, Greg of Old Bridge, NJ, Jan O’Brien and her husband Peter of Charlton, NY, one brother John Hemmings of Long Valley, one sister Betty Nash of TN., and her eight grandchildren, Alison Buckley, Brian Emmons, Evan O’Brien, Christopher Keefer, Katie Costello, Casey Keefer, Allie Keefer, Abby Keefer.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 2, at 11:00 am at the Garefino Funeral Home, 12 N. Franklin St. Lambertville, NJ. Burial will follow in the Sandy Ridge Cemetery, Delaware Twp. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 7-9 pm at the funeral home.
