Dixieland Jazz at Stangl Stage FLEMINGTON

Celebrate the spirit of Mardi Gras when Marshall’s Dixieland Jazz Band presents “Dixieland Jazz at Stangl Stage” on Saturday, Feb. 24, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., at 50 Stangl Road, Flemington. Doors open at 7:00.

 

The band plays Dixieland standards on authentic instruments. Favorites from their diverse repertoire include “Darktown Strutter’s Ball,” “I Can’t Give You Anything but Love,” “Up a Lazy River,” “Ja Da,” “Indiana,” and “Just a Closer Walk with Thee.” Their inspirations include legends like Louis Armstrong, The Original Dukes of Dixieland, Al Hirt and Pete Fountain.

Join the fun with an all-star cast of well-seasoned musicians from central New Jersey including regulars Rod B. Anderson on clarinet, Warren Buckleitner on cornet, Henry Dale on banjo, George Dougherty on trombone, Charley Huck on piano, Jerry Gerard on drums, and Tom Spain on tuba.
