Dolores Carolyn (Pratel) White, 85, entered into eternal life on Monday, June 27, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late John and Marie (Hansen) Pratel, she resided in Central Islip, Long Island, New York before settling in Flemington in 1983.
Dolores was a devoted wife and mother to her family. She could not read sheet music but had a special talent to play music by ear, after listening to the song only once. She also loved to sing songs from the 1950’s and 1960’s since Frank Sinatra was her favorite idol. Dolores adored her cat of twenty years, Princess, whom she rescued as a stray. She loved spending time with her grandchildren when they visited from Virginia, regrettably she was never able to meet her new great grandchild Mikela.
Dolores is survived by her beloved husband, Walter N. White, with whom she joined hands on September 27, 1952. She will be deeply missed by her three loving sons, Stephen White and his wife Judy of Virginia, Charles White of Florida and David White of Flemington; and dear brother, Robert Pratel and his wife Peggy of North Carolina. She will also be deeply missed by her two grandchildren and great grandchild.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Friday, July 1, 2016 from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m.
The disposition will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in Dolores’s memory to Hunterdon Healthcare Foundation, 9100 Wescott Drive, Suite 202, Flemington, New Jersey 08822, or email@example.com.
