Domestic Violence Arrest
January 3, 2017
On Friday, December 23, at approximately 12:55 pm, officers received a report of a twenty (20) year-old Clinton Township man who was “out of control,” had taken Xanax, and was now walking in the road. Officers located the man near the intersection of Lilac Drive and Hibbler Road. The man appeared to be under the influence of an intoxicated substance. The man also confirmed that he had gotten into an altercation with a twenty-three (23) year-old female family member, with whom he resides. Upon arrival back at the residence, officers learned that the altercation between the man and woman had gotten physical. Officers observed an injury to the female, bloodied sheets inside of the residence, and that sheetrock in the house had a large hole in it. As a result, the man was arrested and charged with Simple Assault under the domestic violence laws. Family members decided not to apply for a Temporary Restraining Order. The man, who refused to go to the hospital for detox, was released to a friend.
