On Monday, June 15, at approximately 8:00 am, Patrolman David Formalarie responded to a township residence for a report of a physical altercation during a domestic violence incident. Ptl. Formalarie was further advised that the aggressor, a forty (40) year-old township man, left the residence with the couple’s nine (9) yearold child. Ptl. Formalarie responded to the residence where he met with the forty-four (44) year-old victim who advised that the accused threw recycling at her, grabbed her by the bicep, pushed her, and then struck her before locking their child in their car. When the victim reached into the car in an attempt to grab the child, the accused closed the window on the victim’s arm, trapping it. The accused then open the window just enough to release the accused’s arm and drove off. Ptl. Formalarie observed scrapes and other marks on the victim’s wrist and bicep. The accused was soon located by Officer Raffaella Vastola and Patrolman Sean Ross and arrested. He was charged with Simple Assault and released ROR. In addition, the victim applied for a Temporary Restraining Order. The child was found to be safe and unharmed.
