Driving While Intoxicated

On Wednesday, June 10, at approximately 11:45 pm, Patrolman Peter Schlesier stopped a 2015 Chrysler 200 operated by James Phillips, age 54, of Quincy, FL, on Route 22 West near Blossom Hill Road for repeatedly failing to maintain lane. During the stop, Ptl. Schlesier detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage on Mr. Phillips’ breath and soon determined that he was intoxicated. Mr. Phillips was arrested and transported to police headquarters where he provided samples of his breath for chemical testing to determine the content of alcohol in his blood. Ptl. Schlesier issued Mr. Phillips motor vehicle summonses for Driving While Intoxicated and Failure to Maintain Lane. He was released to the custody of a responsible adult and his vehicle was towed and impounded
