Driving While Intoxicated – illegal u cuts off car

On Tuesday, July 7, at approximately 5:25 pm, Patrolman Andrew McCluskey stopped a 2007 Ford Explorer operated by Paul Bonatz, age 57, of Easton, after Mr. Bonatz made a U-turn at the intersection of Route 173 and Route 626 and cut off another motorist. During the stop, Ptl. McCluskey detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage on Mr. Bonatz’s breath and soon determined that he was intoxicated. Mr. Bonatz was arrested and transported to police headquarters where he provided samples of his breath for chemical testing to determine the content of alcohol in his blood. Ptl. McCluskey charged Mr. Bonatz with Driving While Intoxicated, Improper U-Turn, Delaying Traffic, and Failure to Produce Documents. He was released to the custody of a responsible adult and his vehicle was towed and impounded
