On Tuesday, November 24, at approximately 9:00 pm, Patrolman Andrew McCluskey stopped a 2001 Honda Civic operated by Cecilio Dominguez, age 25, of Nazareth, PA on Interstate 78 near Exit 16. During the stop, Ptl. McCluskey detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage on Mr. Dominguez’s breath, observed opened containers of alcoholic beverages, and soon determined that Mr. Dominguez was intoxicated. Ptl. McCluskey arrested Mr. Dominguez and transported him to police headquarters where Mr. Dominguez provided samples of his breath for chemical testing to determine the content of alcohol in his blood. Ptl. McCluskey charged Mr. Dominguez with Driving While Intoxicated, Consumption of an Alcoholic Beverage While Operating a Motor Vehicle, Driving While Unlicensed, Failure to Maintain Lane, and Speeding. He was released to the custody of a responsible adult and his vehicle was towed and impounded.
