Driving While Intoxicated, Driving An Uninsured Vehicle, and Driving With An Expired Driver’s License.

Driving While Intoxicated On Friday, April 3, at approximately 12:20 pm, Patrolman David Formalarie stopped a 2002 Chevy Tahoe operated by Dale Ames, age 46, of Califon, on Route 31 near Route 513 after a computer inquiry revealed that Mr. Ames’ driver’s license was expired. During the stop, Ptl. Formalarie learned that Mr. Ames had been drinking alcoholic and soon determined that he was intoxicated. Mr. Ames was arrested and later provided samples of his breath for chemical testing to determine the content of alcohol in his blood. Ptl. Formalarie charged Mr. Ames with Driving While Intoxicated, Driving An Uninsured Vehicle, and Driving With An Expired Driver’s License. He was released to the custody of a responsible adult and his vehicle was towed and impounded.
