Driving While Intoxicated/Marijuana

On Monday, January 30, at approximately 12:40 am, an officer stopped a 2011 Nissan Altima operated by Brianna Jackson, age 23, of Washington (Warren County) on Route 31 North near Halstead Street for failing to maintain lane. During the stop, the officer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage on Ms. Jackson’s breath and soon determined that she was intoxicated.
The officer also found Ms. Jackson to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and related paraphernalia. Ms. Jackson was arrested and transported to police headquarters where she provided samples of her breath for chemical testing. The officer charged Ms. Jackson with Possession of Under 50 Grams of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Operating a Motor Vehicle While In Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Driving While Intoxicated, Failure to Maintain Lane, and Maintenance of Lamps. She was released to the custody of a responsible adult and her vehicle was towed and impounded.
