On Thursday, October 6, at approximately 12:30 am, an officer was patrolling the Clinton Point area when he observed a 1999 Honda Accord with a smashed windshield and front-end damage in a restaurant parking lot. Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer met with Anthony Boutilette, age 33, of Kearny. Upon entering Mr. Boutilette’s information into NCIC, the officer learned that he was wanted by the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office stemming from a prior charge of Possession of Heroin. A detective from the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office arrived with a drug-sniffing K-9 and Mr. Boutilette was soon found to be in possession of cocaine. He was arrested and charged with Possession of Cocaine, Being Under the Influence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Operating a Motor Vehicle While In Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Driving An Unsafe Vehicle, and Cracked Windshield. Unable to post $3,750 bail, he was transported to the Hunterdon County Jail.
