DRUNK CAUSES THREE CAR CRASH – lucky no one died

@ approximately 5:58 PM – Police charged Scott L. Rustay, age 49 of Raritan Township with driving under the influence of alcohol following a three vehicle crash on Sergeantsville Road. Police were initially called to the area of Sergeantsville Road and Village Glenn Road for a reported motor vehicle crash.
Upon arrival police learned that Rustay was driving a 2012 Dodge Charger north on Sergeanstville Road when the vehicle crossed the double yellow line. Rustay’s vehicle struck a 2016 Audi, driven by Miriam K. Tucker, age 63 of New Hope, PA, which was traveling south on Sergeantsville Road. The Audi spun out and struck a 2016 Honda Pilot, driven by Stephanie Simon, age 52 of Stockton, NJ which was traveling south behind the Audi. Rustay, Tucker and a juvenile passenger in Simon’s vehicle were all transported to Hunterdon Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries. All three vehicles were towed from the scene. Rustay was issued additional motor vehicle summonses for failure to maintain lane control, careless driving, reckless driving and open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle.
