DRUNK WOMAN CAUSES CRASH

On Monday, June 29, at approximately 12:20 pm, a 2004 Saturn L300 operated by Petal Carr-Fernandez, age 39, of Bergenfield, struck another vehicle from the rear at the intersection of Route 22 and Petticoat Lane. As a result, Ms. CarrFernandez was arrested and transported to police headquarters where she was evaluated by a Drug Recognition Evaluator. Ptl. McCluskey charged Ms. Carr-Fernandez with Driving While Intoxicated, Careless Driving, and Failure to Produce Documents. She was released to the custody of a responsible adult and her vehicle was towed and impounded.
