Department of Public Works Repairer/Labor

The Town of Clinton (Hunterdon County) is seeking an individual to assist in the operation, maintenance and repair within the Department of Public Works, Division of Water and Roads. Under supervision, the successful applicant will install, maintain, and repair sewer/water mains, valves, pumps, hydrants, and other water/sewer service equipment, as well as reading water meters, snow plowing, leaf/brush collection, road/facility maintenance, and any other duties as assigned. Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license and have clean driving history (CDL preferred). A minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent), as well as the ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform duties of this position is required. Knowledge and experience with the varieties types of tools used in maintenance and repair of water treatment equipment and road maintenance equipment preferred. This position requires the applicant to be available to work 24 hours a day, seven days per week as the need arises.
