Employment Opportunity TOWN OF CLINTON – Public Works


The Town of Clinton (Hunterdon County) is seeking an individual to assist in the operation, maintenance and repair within the Department of Public Works, Division of Water and Roads.  Under supervision, the successful applicant will be required to repair roads and storm water basins, mow lawns, snow plowing, leaf/brush collection, install/maintain water mains, valves, pumps, hydrants, and other road/water service equipment, reading water meters, and any other duties as assigned.  Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license and have clean driving history (CDL is required).  A minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent), as well as the ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform duties of this position is required.  Knowledge and experience with the varieties types of tools used in maintenance and repair of water treatment equipment and road maintenance equipment preferred.  This position requires the applicant to be available to work 24 hours a day, seven days per week as the need arises.  Interested applicants should submit a completed employment application to Richard Phelan, Town Administrator at 43 Leigh Street, Clinton, NJ 08809.  Applications are available on the Town’s website (www.clintonnj.gov), or in-person at the address above.
