UPPER BLACK EDDY, PA – Evelyn M. Freeh, 96, of Upper Black Eddy, PA went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday February 21, 2015 at her home, surrounded by her family and friends.
Born August 11, 1918 in Upper Black Eddy, PA, Evelyn was a life long resident there. She worked at the LeRoy Candy Factory in Upper Black Eddy for 35 years and prior to that she worked at Jave’s Bakery in Milford, NJ. Evelyn enjoyed the outdoors and gardening. She was an animal lover and adored cats.
She was a long time member of the Upper Tinicum Lutheran Church in Upper Black Eddy, PA and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Frenchtown, NJ for over 50 years.
Daughter of the late Elmer and Jennie Shoudt, Evelyn is survived by her son Lee Freeh and his wife Diane of Kintersville, PA, her daughter Beverly Hendricks of Upper Black Eddy, PA, four grandchildren Glen, Alan, Lynn and Brian and eight great grandchildren Meghan, Tyler, Erin, Dustin, Jake, Katie, Shane and Shannon. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Walter Freeh and her three brothers Russell, Ervin and Elmer, Jr. Shoudt.
Funeral services will be held privately. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd., Milford, NJ 08848.
