Ewing Twp. Raymond “Skip” H. Myers, Jr., 67 died Tuesday at the Pennsylvania Presbyterian Medical Center, Philadelphia.
Born in Phillipsburg, NJ, Skip had lived in Lambertville most of his life and in Ewing Twp. for the past twelve years. Skip was a graduate of South Hunterdon Regional High School and was active in the Lambertville Little League and T-Ball teams coaching for many years. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, was a member and past Post Commander of the American Legion Toscanni Post # 120 in Lambertville and was presently the County Commander of the American Legion. He had worked part time as a real estate agent for Keller Williams and was an avid Philadelphia Sports Team Fan.
Son of the late Raymond H. Myers, Sr. and Elizabeth Atkinson Myers, brother of the late Carol Sue Durnim, he is survived by his wife Nancy Rufh Myers, two children, Jeremy Myers and his wife Christiana, Jennifer Canepa and her husband Polo, one sister, Marcia Folenta and her husband Gregory, four grandchildren, Klara Myers, Anais, Benjamin and Caleb Canepa.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 am at the Garefino Funeral Home, 12 N. Franklin St. Lambertville. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-9 pm at the funeral home and Friday from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Lambertville American Legion Post # 120, 322 N. Union St. Lambertville, the Lambertville Combined Charities (same address) or the Lambertville Little League PO Box 141 Lambertville, NJ 08530.
