On Tuesday, June 30, at approximately 12:05 am, Patrolman Jeffery Glennon stopped a 2005 Volvo S40 operated by Austin Kreilis, age 25, of Clinton Township, on Center Street near Route 173 after a random computer inquiry revealed that Mr. Kreilis’ driver’s license was expired. During the stop, Ptl. Glennon detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage on Mr. Kreilis’ breath and soon determined that he was intoxicated. Mr. Kreilis was arrested and transported to police headquarters where he provided samples of his breath for chemical testing to determine the content of alcohol in his blood. Ptl. Glennon charged Mr. Kreilis with Driving While Intoxicated and Driving With An Expired License. He was released to the custody of a responsible adult and his vehicle was towed and impounded.
