“Artists of all media, here’s a chance to sell your work and support a worthy cause,” says Joanne Braun, organizer of the Fall Fine Art Showcase to benefit Friends of Historic Flemington.
Any medium is welcome — oil, acrylic, watercolor, pen and ink, pencil, pastel, photography, fabric, collage, and fine crafts. Work can be framed or unframed. Artists may set their own prices and will receive 65% of the proceeds from the sale of each work.
The show will be held on Friday, September 22 from 12 to 8 p.m.; Saturday, September 23 from 12 to 8 pm; and Sunday, September 24 from 12 to 6 p.m. at 123 Main Street, Flemington. An artist’s reception will be held on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. The public is welcome to attend the reception.
Artists must register by Tuesday, September 19. Artwork should be delivered on Thursday, September 21 between 4 and 7 pm. Artists must provide tabletop easels to display their work.
Registration forms are available at www.FriendsofHistoricFlemington.com. A maximum of six (6) works of art will be accepted from each artist.
For questions or to request registration forms by mail, please contact Ms. Braun at (908) 268-6638 or SaveHistoricFlemington@gmail.com.
Friends of Historic Flemington, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation established to protect and celebrate Flemington’s history, is fighting a massive redevelopment plan which would demolish or significantly alter four Main Street buildings, including the iconic Union Hotel, in the heart of Flemington’s historic district.
