FLAG RETIREMENT CEREMONY SATURDAY IN TEWKSBURY

PLEASE DONATE ANY UNITED STATE’S FLAG READY FOR RETIREMENT Cub Scout Troop 199 will be holding a flag retirement ceremony on June 6 When the United States flag becomes worn, torn, faded or badly soiled, it is time to replace it with a new flag, and the old flag should be “retired” with all the dignity and respect befitting our nation’s flag. This ceremony uses one flag to represent all the flags being retired. It is a solemn and moving ceremony and the public is welcome to join. Ceremony will be at Fairmount North Park on June 6 th at 6:45 PM. The ceremony is a short hike from the parking lot. Please bring any flags ready for retirement to one of our donation bins by May 31st. There will be bins at the Tewksbury Elementary School.
