Flemington’s Filling Station has provided the community an opportunity to come together throughout summer – with cold beer and delicious local cuisine, plus live music and dancing. But as the summer draws to a close, so does the beloved Filling Station’s 2017 run – this weekend, August 18-19, will be the grand finale.
On Friday, the 18th, at The Patio on 144 Main St., the Filling Station will feature FiredUp Flatbread pizza, live music from Big Horse Band, and – of course – plenty to drink. The following day, Saturday the 19th, the Filling Station takes over Lone Eagle Brewing and will feature Garden State Salad for its last night of this summer.
“We invite everyone to come out, kick back, and enjoy one of Flemington’s best summer offerings as we toast another great season at The Filling Station,” says Ann Meredith, executive director of Flemington Community Partnership (FCP). “It’s a terrific place to spend a summer evening – or to begin an exciting night on the town.”
Thousands of people have experienced the community fun of the Filling Station during the past two summers. Family members of all age are welcome and there’s a wide variety of fun and old-school games – including Cornhole competitions and board games on picnic tables.
