Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III, Chief of Detectives John Kuczynski, and Raritan Township Police Chief Glenn Tabasko announced that the investigation of a fire that took place at Angelo’s Pizzeria on March 16, 2016 is still ongoing. The Raritan Township Police Department responded to the fire at approximately 1:17 am and Detectives from the Raritan Township Detective Bureau assisted with the investigation at the scene. Firefighters from the Raritan Township Fire Department were called out and extinguished a fire that was located in the kitchen of the restaurant. According to Prosecutor Kearns, “The Raritan Township Fire Marshall’s Office and the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office Arson Task Force conducted the scene examination and found nothing suspicious at the scene. From initial indications it appears the cause was electrical in nature but a final determination is pending.” The Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Arson Task Force is comprised of specially trained police officers, volunteer firefighters, as well as HCPO Detectives that respond and investigate major fires in the county.
