Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III, Chief of Detectives John J. Kuczynski and Flemington Borough Police Lieutenant Jerry Rotella announced that a joint investigation by the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Flemington Borough Police Department has led to the arrest of one individual on sexual assault charges.
On November 16, 2016, Jose Luis Zuna-Santander, age 25, of Flemington, NJ, was arrested and charged with one count of 1st degree Aggravated Sexual Assault and one count of 3rd degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. An investigation by detectives from the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Flemington Borough Police Department revealed, from 2014 to 2016, the defendant engaged in sex acts with a child under the age of 16.
The Honorable Julie Marino, J.S.C. set bail on the defendant at $300,000. The defendant was lodged in the Somerset County Jail and is awaiting his first court appearance.
