FLEMINGTON POLICE SAVE OVERDOSE VICTIM WITH NARCAN

Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III and Flemington Police Chief George Becker announce that police officers using Narcan, saved the life of an overdose victim. On Sunday, February 1st at 10:08 AM, Flemington Borough Police Sergeant William Soriano and Patrolman Frank Emanuele were dispatched to the Hunter Hills Apartment Complex for a 9- 1-1 report of a possible overdose of a 27 year old male. Upon arrival at the apartment, the officers found the victim unresponsive. Patrolman Emanuele administered Naloxone (Narcan) to the victim and successfully revived him. The FlemingtonRaritan Rescue Squad and Hunterdon Medical Center Paramedics transported the victim to Hunterdon Medical Center for further treatment. According to Prosecutor Kearns, “I commend Chief Becker and the Flemington Police Department for being equipped and trained in the use of Narcan. I also commend the quick thinking of the officers which helped saved the life of the victim.”
