Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Hunterdon County will sponsor the annual Fall Forest Management/Stewardship Series Program at 7:00pm Tuesday, December 1, 2015. The registration fee for this meeting is $10. The program, entitled, “Farmland Assessment on Woodlands: A Guide for New Jersey Forest Landowners”, will be hosted and led by Dr. Mark Vodak, Forestry Extension Specialist, Rutgers Cooperative Extension, and presented by Mr. Andy Kimm, Vice President, New Jersey Forestry Association, who will discuss the history of farmland assessment, the 1986 amendment specifically addressing woodlands and farmland assessment, the requirements for qualifying woodlands for farmland assessment, and the latest changes and requirements for farmland assessment for woodland owners. There will be ample opportunity for questions and discussion.
