Frank L. Bunting III, age 84, of Clinton Twp., NJ passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at home.
He was born on November 1, 1932 in Elizabeth, NJ. He has been a resident of Clinton Twp., NJ since 1964, moving from Kenilworth, NJ.
Frank was the son of the late Frank L. Bunting Jr. and Dorothy Seeger Bunting.
He was the husband of Therese Brendl Bunting.
Frank was an U.S. Army veteran, serving as Corporal during the Korean War in Germany.
He owned and operated Buntings Bakery in High Bridge, NJ for many years until moving the bakery to Washington, NJ in the late 1980’s. In 1992, went to work for the state of NJ at the Women’s Reformatory as a Baker until his retirement.
Frank was an avid NY Yankee and NY Giants fan. He enjoyed bowling and also painting in his spare time. His paintings received several awards and were even featured at the Wayfair Restaurant in Washington, NJ.
Survivors in addition to his loving wife include 6 children; Martin and his wife Susan of Easton, PA, Barbara Keith of High Bridge, NJ, Elizabeth Jones and her husband Steve of Greer, SC, David Bunting of Simpsonville, SC, John Bunting and his wife Allison of Arlington, VA and Daniel and his wife Sandra of Pattenburg, NJ. 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. 3 brothers; Richard Bunting of Las Vegas, NV, George Bunting of Brownville, TX and Ronald Bunting of Elizabeth, NJ. 1 sister; Bernice O’Brien of West Spotswood, NJ.
Frank is predeceased by his son-in-law; Klaus Keith and 2 brothers; Horace Bunting and Earl Bunting.
At his request, there will be no service and cremation will be handled by Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home in Lebanon, NJ.
