HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, NJ – Frank Sciarello, 72, of Holland Township, NJ, passed away peacefully with his wife at his side on Friday, May 1, 2015 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ after a courageous fight with cancer. He has a wonderful sense of humor and he kept it to the very end of his life.

Frank was born in Newark, NJ on June 17, 1942, the son of Anthony J. and Anna Marie (Paglia) Sciarello.

Frank retired from Bell Atlantic in 1991 after 28 years of service. After a brief computer systems consulting career, he then worked for Merrill Lynch retiring in 2008. One of Frank’s best qualities was his perseverance and he was especially proud of the fact that he received his Bachelor’s Degree from Muhlenberg College in 2005.

Frank served honorably in the US Army National Guard during the Vietnam era. He was a life member of the Telephone Pioneers and a two term president of the Milford Lions Club. In 1991, he was named Distinguished Lion on the Year. Frank also had an avid interest in antique cars and belonged to several major antique car clubs.

Frank is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Phillips), with whom he would have celebrated 33 years of marriage on May 1st; daughters Lora Radzieta and her husband, Martin, of Cape May Court House, NJ; Jessica Palmadessa and her husband, Aaron, of Bellport, NY; Sara Sciarello of Holland Township, NJ; Julia Sciarello-McGuinness and her husband, Peter McGuinness, of Redondo Beach, CA; three grandchildren Adam, Ginger, and Amelia; a sister, Alicia Sciarello, of Hampton, NJ; a brother, Anthony Sciarello and his wife, Carol, of West Orange, NJ; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Marc and Holly Phillips, of Holland Township, NJ; and his father-in-law, Robert Phillips, of Holland Township, NJ. He was predeceased by a sister, Catherine Sina. Frank loved his children and grandchildren more than they will ever know and he enjoyed every minute he spent with them.

Services will be private. Interment will be private at the Riegelsville Union Cemetery. Arrangement are under the care of the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ.
