On Saturday, February 11, at approximately 2:05 am, an officer stopped a 1997 Nissan
Altima on Route 31 North because a computer inquiry revealed that the registered owner
was suspended and because the vehicle had a brake light out. During the stop, the officer
learned that passenger Anthony Waln, age 25, of Greenwich Township, had been entered
into NCIC as “wanted” by both Warren County and Northampton County authorities.
The warrants stemmed from prior drug charges. Once the warrants were confirmed as
active, Mr. Waln was arrested and charged with Entering Into New Jersey While A
Fugitive From Justice. He was transported to the Hunterdon County Jail without bail.
Driver Jordan Barber was issued a motor vehicle summons for Driving While Suspended.
