Fugitive Arrest driving while suspended with hypo needles

On Thursday, July 9, at approximately 4:00 pm, Patrolman Andrew McCluskey stopped a 2004 Buick sedan operated by Drew Miller, age 30, of Clinton, on Route 78 near Exit 18 for having a passenger’s side brake light out. During the stop, Ptl. McCluskey learned that Mr. Miller had been entered into the N.C.I.C. system as “wanted” by the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office for a probation violation and that he was also wanted out of the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office in Pennsylvania for Shoplifting. Ptl. McCluskey also found Mr. Miller to be in possession of five (5) hypodermic syringes. As a result, Ptl. McCluskey arrested Mr. Miller and charged him with Entering Into New Jersey While A Fugitive From Justice, Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe, Driving While Suspended, and Maintenance of Lamps. He was lodged in the Hunterdon County Jail without bail.
