FUGITIVE INDICTED ON BURGLARY CHARGES CAPTURED IN HUNTERDON

Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III, and Somerset County Prosecutor Geoffrey Soriano announced the capture of Levi Bailey, age 30, of Atlantic City, NJ. Mr. Bailey was arrested by the Atlantic City Task Force in Pleasantville, NJ on May 18, 2015. The arrest followed a joint investigation by the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office and the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office, along with a task force of other law enforcement agencies. The investigation involved burglaries in five counties in 2014. Levi Bailey and Yahsiyn Thompson, 27, of Atlantic City were charged in a 20-count Hunterdon County Grand Jury indictment returned on March 26, with nine burglaries, nine thefts, one count of conspiracy and one count of attempted burglary. Yahsiyn Thompson was arrested on March 31, 2015 in Atlantic City. According to Prosecutor Kearns, “Between Aug. 8, 2014 and Nov. 4, 2014, the defendants burglarized residences in Delaware Township, Clinton Township, East Amwell Township, Upper Freehold Township, Bernards Township, Hillsborough Township, Sparta Township and Hope Township.” Levi Bailey 2 The following agencies are part of the Multi-Jurisdictional Task Force that took part in the investigation: The Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office, Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office, New Jersey State Police and municipal police departments from Clinton Township, Readington Township, Delaware Township, Hillsborough Township, Sparta Township, Montgomery Township, West Amwell Township, Bernards Township, Pleasantville and Atlantic City
